No one enjoys leaving their furry friend behind when going away. When your dog is boarding at The Common Dog, you can rest easy knowing your dog is getting the best of care. We have multiple options for you and your dog to choose from, including our “Kenmore Studios,” our “Back Bay Condos,” or our “Beacon Hill Suites.”

The Beacon Hill King Suite

Want your furry friend to “live like a King”?  Choose one of our King Suites and he will. This spacious room accommodates 2 large dogs or 3 small dogs comfortably and includes 2 Kuranda™ beds, a flat screen TV with pet-friendly programming, and a private web camera so you can check in whenever you want. The Beacon Hill Queen Suite

Your furry girl deserves to be treated like a Queen. This deluxe room with a view of the park accommodates 2 large dogs (up to 70 lbs) or 3 smaller dogs comfortably and includes 2 Kuranda™ beds and a flat screen TV with pet-friendly programming. The Beacon Hill Petite Suite

The smallest of the 4 Suites that we offer, there is plenty of room for 2 dogs (both dogs must be under 55lbs each please) or for one dog to stretch out. The room includes a flat screen TV with pet-friendly programming and a Kuranda™ bed with a view of the park. Check out our concierge services below for additional comforts & cuddling options. The Back Bay Condo

This is one of our most popular bedrooms.  There is plenty of room to stretch out while grabbing a nap or playing with toys. Like all our rooms, a Kuranda™ bed is included and optional upgraded pillow top bedding and toys are available for $5 per day. 2 dogs maximum for this room, both must be under 55lbs for this room please. The Kenmore Studio

The studio is quite comfy! There is plenty of room to stretch out on the Kuranda™ bed as well as room to play with whatever toys Mom and Dad may have gotten for you!  Only one dog under 55 lbs for this size room please (i.e. a medium size Lab or a small German Shepherd). Concierge Services

Personalize your pup’s stay with us by choosing from the following menu of services.


  • Keep in Touch ($10) - we will text or email your pup’s photo to you while you are away.
  • Turn Down Service ($15) - a belly rub and cookie at bedtime is the perfect way to end a busy day of playing.
  • Hugs And Kisses ($15) - lunch time with their favorite staff. Includes snack of the day and lots of hugs and kisses!
  • Snack Time (varies) - your pup can receive our tasty “Snack of the Day” ($4), a Stuffed Kong ($6) or a Boston Barkery Yogurt Frosted Cookie ($5)
  • Treadmill Time - we work with your pup while they get exercise running on one of our treadmills ($20)
  • IQ Test ($15) - we have brain teaser games that have hidden compartments to hide treats, can your pup find the hidden treasure?
  • Pillow Top or Blanket Upgrade ($5/day) - add a soft fleece throw blanket to your pets room or a fluffy pillow top to their Kuranda bed.
  • Gym Time ($20) - choose a Private Walk, a run on our Dog Treadmill or Play Ball with a friend.
  • Birthday Party Package ($20) - Birthday Treat and Photos texted to you.
  • Training Add-Ons - All our boarding add-on training options come in packs of 6 sessions, the dates are scheduled at the time of purchase & include: Nail Maintenance Training, Play Training, Position Work, Muzzle Conditioning, and E-Collar Conditioning

All pricing is subject to change.


Please remember to call us 24 hours in advance should you need to cancel your reservation or a minimum of one night’s boarding rate will be charged. We also require a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of your stay for all holiday & peak boarding times, we sell out all our rooms during these times well in advance. There is an additional $12 fee added to boarding and daycare for all holiday & peak times (ask front desk for list of holidays).
